Welcome!

Welcome to the DDE (dialogue development environment) Editor tutorial!

The DDE Editor is a platform where an app developer can design, test, and publish a scripted conversation---a series of dialogues---between an intelligent agent and an android app so that the app can interact with the agent. Its purpose is to simplify the process of creating and building dialogues for robot or other intelligent agent applications. This platform is divided into two components, one of which is for building apps and the other for testing.

Note that throughout this tutorial, we call a scripted conversation a dialogue configuration.

The objective of this documentation is to assist readers in understanding basic concepts and learning how to use the DDE Editor; hence, after completing this tutorial, one is supposed to be able to build a dialogue configuration oneself. We've also made some video tutorials for people who prefer watching videos to reading documentation.
